At 16, brand-new driver’s license in hand, I’d spend hours exploring the historic neighborhoods of Greensboro, NC, in search of architectural gems. My friends were a bit baffled by this pastime, but a love of home, architecture, and sense of place held my attention. Fast forward to my 20s and I was still at it: after graduating from UNC, I pursued master’s degrees in Architecture, Interior Design, and City and Regional Planning. After 15 years in the design industry, it feels as if I’ve come home, bringing a strong knowledge base and enthusiasm to helping home buyers and sellers during times of major change.
Thanks to a highly trained and intuitive sense of design, I’m uniquely skilled at helping clients envision possibilities, understand limitations, and develop practical solutions. Clients have told me I am observant, resourceful, tenacious, and easy to work with. It’s a joy to integrate my training, interests, and commitment to promoting beauty and everyday comfort while serving as a strong advocate and negotiator.
In particular, my experience in both design - from residential to commercial projects - and hands-on design/build projects - from bus shelters to houses - has proven invaluable to my work. Not only has it taught me how different structures are put together and function, it’s deepened my appreciation for the material difference that a client-centered approach can make. Whether you’re a first-time home buyer or looking to invest equity you’ve built, I look forward to representing your interests and handling your transaction personally, all the way to closing day.
I’ve lived all over the Triangle for the last 29 years, give or take a few spent out of state and abroad. When I’m not working, I spend time with my two kids, drink coffee, and think about home improvements.
