Midtown Raleigh

Nestled geographically between North Raleigh and Downtown Raleigh, Midtown Raleigh is situated just above the Interstate 40 beltline and includes a combination of residential, commercial, and mixed-use areas. Midtown Raleigh has seen a recent revitalization and renovation of 1960s and '70s housing stock.

Key Features

Suburban Urban: More dense and urban than North Raleigh, but not quite at the density of neighborhoods inside the beltline, Midtown can be described as "Suburban Urban." Some residential communities, like North Hills, North Glenn, and Quail Pointe, are walkable to shops and restaurants in and around Midtown.

Access to Major Shopping and Dining: Though separated by less than two miles, Midtown features two of the region's most popular shopping areas, North Hills and Crabtree Valley Mall. Depending on your mood and the weather, you can pick your shopping mall of choice. (Crabtree Valley is inside and North Hills shops are outside.)

Agent Picks

Midtown Farmers Market

Every Saturday from April through November, locals gather in the Commons at North Hills to browse offerings from local vendors, artisans, and farmers. From artisan soaps to handmade chocolates to organic pressed juice, the Midtown Farmers Market has something for everyone.

Cowfish

Is it a burger joint? Is it a sushi bar? It's both! Tucked into the high-end commercial district of North Hills, Cowfish specializes in two featured menu items: gourmet burgers and fresh sushi.

King's Bowl America

This isn't your standard bowling alley. King's kicks it up a notch (or three). With more than 32,000 square feet of entertainment space, you can bring out your inner kid with billiards, ping pong, foosball, shuffleboard, darts, air hockey, and, of course, bowling.
