Where else do chrome, glass, stone, and wood intersect more beautifully than in the Modernist home? Call them what you will: Modern, Post-Modern, Art Moderne, Deconstructionist, Geodesic, or even Mid-Century Modern - many names that all point to that hip, minimalist, and wide-open vibe. Groove on these beauties a bit and then let's take a field trip together. Curator: Reade Ackner

Less than a half mile from the American Tobacco Trail and Herndon Park, Fairfield is one of the few remaining sweet spots in Southwest Durham still outside the city limits (no city taxes!!) The drive past Herndon Hills Farm (pick your own strawberries, blueberries, and grapes!) feels like rural North Carolina, but not to worry—it's less than two miles from the urban bustle of Southpoint!
