We moved to Wilmington, NC after visiting the city once when my wife interviewed for her job in January 2020. During that visit, we initially met with Heather (Full disclosure: Heather and I were acquaintances in college but were reintroduced through my wife's employer). We had planned on visiting Wilmington in the months leading up to our move here, but COVID-19 had other plans for us. Between January and our move in July, Heather was extremely helpful. She helped answer any questions we had and made sure to introduce us to a local lender in town. Since we couldn't visit in person during those lead-up months, we decided to initially rent an apartment (something that Heather made some recommendations as well.)Once we moved to Wilmington, we started looking for a home in earnest. Heather worked with us and helped us narrow down exactly what we were looking for. This was going to be our first home purchase, and with us being completely new to the area, we had a steep learning curve. Heather was there through it all, answering all our random questions and texts.When we finally found a house we loved, Heather helped us move quickly to get a winning contract submitted. Wilmington was a hot market, and the house was only listed for 48 hours before we went into a multiple offer situation. With the seller's "best and final offer" deadline a mere handful of hours after our second showing, Heather helped us quickly navigate what we wanted to offer to give us the best chance of having our offer accepted. Heather went above and beyond to help me sell my house. She pretty much did everything. I could tell you about how she made the house look great in the photos or when I needed a handyman to make some repairs on the house she was able to meet them at the house and let them when I was unable to. I could also tell you how she priced the house perfectly so I got the maximum offer possible. But I think the one example that really highlights how great Heather was during this process is when we decided to list my house on Black Friday. She had to work during the Thanksgiving break while she was traveling with her family and she never missed one phone call. Not one! As I said above, she truly went above and beyond.
