Laurel Park Neighborhood Guide
This is a traditional Hendersonville neighborhood. The perk of this neighborhood is many homes have views of the golf course. This small, well maintained community rises up over 1000 feet to the well known and historic attraction known as "jump off rock", where legend has it, that a young Cherokee maiden, after hearing that her young Indian Chief had been killed in battle, climbed to this point and jumped, locals say on moonlit nights you can see the shadow of this maiden atop the rock. Some of the most amazing panoramic views of surrounding mountain ranges are enjoyed in this neighborhood. The town of Laurel Park is located at the Southern edge of the Blue Ridge Mountains just moments west of iconic downtown Hendersonville. This town was incorporated in 1925 and rises to an elevation of 3,000 feet. This area is noted for its lovely residences, parks and small lakes.
