- View: Watching the sunset over the mountain top from my kitchen window while making dinner!
- Room: I love heading down into the basement to work on small projects at the workbench, getting some afternoon sunshine outside while talking to neighbors, and walking or riding bikes to downtown Canton, to hang out on the river at the brewery.
- Tree: The red maple in the corner of the yard is so bright and beautiful, bringing lots of song birds. I also love the small tree outside the kitchen window- I put a bird feeder in it and the cardinals and chickadees love to come join me for breakfast!
- Walk: The house is the absolute best for walkability. I regularly walk to the family-owned convenient store only a minute away, to downtown for shopping, and to visit neighbors. Many take pride in their landscaping and its fun to chat and compare ideas.
- Hike: My son and I love mountain biking at Chestnut Mountain Park, only a five minute drive away. There are trails for beginners through expert and they are continuing to expand the trail system. People come from all over to visit there, it's amazing!
- Breakfast: Grateful Table Café and Provisions has a delicious breakfast and a welcoming atmosphere and Papertown Coffee has fantastic coffee and pastries.
- Lunch: Black Bear and Lunchbox
- Dinner: Bearwater Brewing, right on the river in downtown Canton. Can't be beat! The staff are very friendly, the live music is great, and the community is always fun.
- Pub/Winery: Bearwater Brewing or simply buying great local beer or wine at Lankford's convenient store only a few hundred feet away, then enjoying it in my backyard with friends.
- Living Here Has Been: I'll really miss this house. It has the perfect balance of size and amenities, with all the necessary zones for work, rest, and play, while not being too much to keep up with. I love the walkability, the neighborly feel, and how the sidewalks can take you all the way to downtown in just a few minutes' walk or bike ride, highly recommend!
