Asheville Real Estate Market Report: Mid-Year 2015

Total Sales Up in Asheville

We’ve just released our Asheville Mid-Year 2015 Nest Market Report.  As expected, total sales in the Asheville MSA are up.  Here are some highlights:

Asheville Real Estate Market (MSA)

1. Total sales are up 12.6% to 3,175 in 2015 from 2,819 in 2014.

2. The median sales price is up almost 6% to $205,000 as compared to $193,500 in 2014.

3. On average, homes are selling significantly faster. Days on Market are down 16% to 138 for 2015 versus 165 in 2014.

Hendersonville

1. Total sales in Hendersonville are up 10% from 2014.

2. Hendersonville Days on Market are down almost 20% year-over-year.

3. The Hendersonville Median Sale Price increased 10.5% from $185,000 to $204,450.

Haywood County

1. Total sales in Haywood County are up 18% from 2014.

2. Haywood County Days on Market are down almost 9% year-over-year to an average of 210.

3. The Haywood County Median Sale Price increased almost 4% from $155,000 to $161,000.

Madison County

1. Total sales in Madison County are down almost 12% from 2014 to a total of 75 transactions. This isn’t necessarily alarming as there simply are not many transactions in Madison County.

2. Madison County Days on Market are down almost 5% year-over-year.

3. The Madison County Median Sales Price decreased 3.5% from $169,000 to $163,000.
