Charlottesville Summer Bucket List: Cheer on the Tom Sox Baseball Team!

Welcome to Week 2! In Nest Realty’s Summer Bucket List Series, we’ll highlight five of our favorite summer activities in the Charlottesville area. Let us know which adventure was your favorite! Then, send a photo or leave a comment about your day in the sun. We hope these inspire you to love where you live even more than you already do!

The second must-do for this summer is to cheer on the Tom Sox at one of their baseball games. The Charlottesville Tom Sox are a collegiate team of talented baseball players from a variety of colleges along the East Coast. The Charlottesville Baseball Group hosts the Tom Sox games and aims to promote “a high quality collegiate summer team, a memorable fan experience, and opportunities for youth to grow in the game and in character.” Sounds like a perfect evening in Charlottesville to me!

Additionally, the Tom Sox are up to more than just baseball games, they’re involved in the community! Ten of the Tom Sox players have professional internships in Charlottesville and several help out at their Head Coach Corey Hunt’s two-day summer baseball camp for kids.

The Tom Sox play up to four home games each week at Charlottesville High School and tickets are a steal―only $2 a person! Check out the schedule to pick a date to go cheer on the Tom Sox.
