Last fall, NEST Magazine was thrilled to attend the interior design industry’s biggest event—the High Point Market in High Point, NC. This twice-annual trade show allows industry insiders, interior designers, and buyers to preview upcoming lines from manufacturers and scope out the latest trends. More than 2,000 showrooms across 180 buildings flaunt everything from light fixtures to furniture, fabrics, rugs, and every accessory in between.
So what were the highlights?
We saw lots of luxe textures (hello velvet!)…
Saturated colors (goodbye white-on-white)…
Sleek lines (mid-century modern still reigns supreme)…
Even some edgy, fashion-forward pieces that are allowing homeowners to express their individuality (see ya later cookie-cutter!)…
We loved seeing pieces from the SUNPAN Collection, Christopher Guy, and meeting John and Molly, the rockin’ husband and wife team behind the John Beard Collection.
The 2018 fall market is just around the corner, and we can’t wait to see what the designers have in store! Will any of you be attending the market? We’d love to hear your highlights in the comments below.
We shared this story with you in our Spring/Summer 2018 Issue of NEST Magazine. To view the full issue, click here.
