November is a great time to give back to our dynamic intown community. In need of some ideas? Check out the following events, and then make a bigger commitment to give back in 2016:

  • Run For Good 5k | Sun, Nov 1 at 8 am
    This annual run benefits the Piedmont Park Conservancy.
    If you enjoy this event, also consider joining the Piedmont Park Conservancy Green Team in 2016. Keep Piedmont Park beautiful year-round with weekly volunteer projects on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9 am –12 pm.
  • On the Same Page Author Visit | Fri, Nov 6 at 7 pm
    IntownExpert is a proud sponsor of On the Same Page, a comprehensive community reading program serving families and schools around the Atlanta area. Meet El Deafo author Cece Bell at Drew Charter School. Doors open at 6 pm — first come, first seated.

  • Math Is My Friend | Mon, Nov 9 at 3:30 pm
    Assist metro Atlanta children (grades 3-5) in the acquisition and application of math skills.
    If you enjoy this event, consider volunteering weekly.
  • The Kashi Atlanta 2015 Yogathon | Sat, Nov 14 at 10 am
    Maha Yoga with Swami Jaya Devi and the Kashi Kirtan Wallahs. All proceeds support ongoing Community Service Projects including Street Meals and Kashi KidsArt.
    If you enjoy this event, also consider joining the Kashi Atlanta Street Meals Program. Volunteers are needed to assemble (Tuesday nights) and deliver sack lunches (Wednesday mornings) for hungry and homeless men, women and children living on Atlanta’s streets.
  • Teen Service Day with Trees Atlanta | Sat, Nov 21 at 9 am
    Help plant trees with the NeighborWoods program, a collaborative effort to replenish and sustain the tree canopy while educating the community on tree care and management.
    If you enjoy this event, consider volunteering every Saturday morning from 9:00 am – 12 noon
