Our first stop in the series will be Gold River Camp in Marion, NC. This campground with Cabins and Glamping tents is a peaceful retreat. There are multiple cabins (some with ensuite baths), a pristine bathhouse, glamping tents, and small stand alone cabins.
There is an area for BBQ and mingling and hanging out right on the river, along with multiple seating decks. The river allows you an opportunity to play in the refreshing clear water as well as pan for gold. Multiple seating decks are placed along the riverside.
On a side note, I would be happy to come down and give gold panning lessons while you stay or can be scheduled for history or ghostly talks by the river and fireside! There is a larger gold panning facility right down the road where you can have fun panning for gold and gems as well, with a great diner.
