During our “Meet the Agent” series, we sit down with our agents to learn more about them, what makes them tick, and why they’re passionate about the real estate industry. In this installment, we chat with Anne Hudlow, a Realtor with Nest Realty in Staunton, Virginia.
Nest Realty: Tell us a bit about yourself! Where are you from? What brought you to Staunton?
Anne Hudlow: I’m from Waynesboro and I was excited to move around the corner! This is home!
NR: How did you get into real estate?
AH: I always thought it would be fun/challenging; and guess what?! I was RIGHT, and I love what I do!
NR: What was your previous career? How has that prepared you for real estate?
AH: I had previously enjoyed more than 20 years in nonprofit management and the field of fundraising. Putting the needs of others in our community forefront was my primary focus. Real estate has the same feel, since I as an agent strive to care for my clients while helping them reach their goals and dreams.
NR: What led you to Nest Realty, as opposed to another brokerage?
AH: The Nest feel! It’s almost hard to put into words, but you know you are part of something outstanding: a community of really exceptional agents who give their all and an outstanding agency that provides an abundance of support so that we can be the best at what we do!
NR: What is your favorite part of being an agent?
AH: The people! I so enjoy working with people. Building relationships and watching them flourish is key to a happy life, personally and professionally.
NR: Do you have a specific area of expertise to offer clients?
AH: Knowing the area is key. Having been born and raised in Waynesboro, I have extensive knowledge about the area and all it has to offer. Additionally, I humbly offer that my attention to detail and dedication to my clients has continued to help grow my business and serve as a helpful resource.
NR: What are five adjectives that describe you?
AH: Dedicated, personable, caring, fun-loving, and happy!
NR: If you had one piece of advice for a first-time home buyer, what would it be?
AH: So much advice, so little time. Let’s talk!
NR: What is your favorite season in Staunton?
AH: Summer, because I love that season most of all, but I have to include fall too because of the beautiful area where we live.
