During our “Meet the Agent” series, we sit down with our agents to learn more about them, what makes them tick, and why they’re passionate about the real estate industry. In this in installment, we chat with Cassandra Lee, a Broker at Nest Realty Lake Norman.
Nest Realty: Tell us a bit about yourself! Where are you from? What brought you to Lake Norman?
Cassandra Lee: I was born and raised in DeLand, Florida and moved to the Charlotte area in search of a bit cooler weather in 2005.
NR: How did you get into real estate?
CL: I was hired as a Client Services Manager for a small Real Estate Team. After about 1.5 years I knew my calling was to be in the field helping clients so I quickly decided to pursue my Real Estate license.
NR: What was your previous career? How has that prepared you for real estate?
CL: Previously I worked as a Human Resources Manager for a mortgage company. It was invaluable to be exposed to the mortgage industry every day because it has helped me educate my clients about the mortgage process.
NR: What led you to Nest Realty, as opposed to another brokerage?
CL: After learning about the unique approach Nest has for the agents and customers I knew was the perfect fit for me!
NR: What is your favorite part of being an agent?
CL: I truly enjoy and appreciate the ability to help my clients find the home of their dreams and reach their goals with homeownership.
NR: Do you have a specific area of expertise to offer clients?
CL: I specialize in helping buyers purchase home and greatly enjoy working with and educating first time home buyers.
NR: What makes you different from other agents? What sets you apart?
CL: I am different from other agents because I hold my clients needs and desires close to my heart. I pay close attention to emotional reactions when clients view properties and don’t rely on just a checklist of needs/desires. I believe when a client finds their perfect home they know immediately.
NR: What are five adjectives that describe you?
CL: Patient, Understanding, Generous, Considerate, Sincere.
NR: Who would be your dream client?
CL: It would be my dream to help someone who has had a very difficult start to life to achieve their dream of homeownership. I have always wanted to help turn someone’s life around in a big way.
NR: If you had one piece of advice for a first-time home buyer, what would it be?
CL: Never, ever settle! You will know when you find your perfect home so be patient!
NR: What is your favorite season in Lake Norman?
CL: Definitely Summer, I am a Florida girl so I love my warm weather!
