Meet The Agent: Crissy Davis

We’re proud of the team of agents we’ve assembled here at Nest Realty. We think they’re pretty awesome, and we think you will too. During our “Meet the Agent” series, we sit down with our agents to learn more about them, what makes them tick, and why they’re passionate about the real estate industry. In this in installment, we chat with Crissy Davis, a Realtor at Nest Realty Atlanta.

Nest Realty: Tell us a bit about yourself! Where are you from? What brought you to Atlanta?
Crissy Davis: I’m from Atlanta, however I moved away for almost 15 years. I moved back because there is no place like Atlanta and the people who live here.

NR: How did you get into real estate?
CD: One of my closest friends, who is a Realtor, encouraged me to change careers and go into real estate. She was my Realtor on several of my personal closings and believed that I had a knack for it.

NR: What was your previous career? How has that prepared you for real estate?
CD: I was a Human Resources manager for several payroll service companies. My role was mainly client based customer service. I would listen to clients and walk them through the employee issues that they had at their company. My professionalism, listening skills and desire to educate my clients, has helped me in my real estate role as well.

NR: What led you to Nest Realty, as opposed to another brokerage?
CD: I was with a team and had an opportunity to leave to go out on my own. Nest is a perfect fit, because they work as a team, unlike other brokerages that don’t invest time into their agents. I really like how welcoming and encouraging they are to someone who is on their own.

NR: What is your favorite part of being an agent?
CD: I like being able to assist my clients during one of the most stressful times of their life. I enjoy gently guiding them through the process, plus listening to their questions and needs.

NR: Do you have a specific area of expertise to offer clients?
CD: I have personally bought and sold many properties. I have also moved across country with children. These personal experiences help with my understanding of the overall process and what it takes to buy or sell a house from the client’s view.

NR: What makes you different from other agents? What sets you apart?
CD: I bring a level of professionalism to the role by leaning on my corporate experience. I am empathetic to my clients needs and have patience that they appreciate in the process. I believe that everyone can find a home, it could be the 1st house or the 20th house that we see, but there is one out there for every client.

NR: What are five adjectives that describe you?
CD: patient, kind, professional, engaging, respectful

NR: Who would be your dream client?
CD: My dream client would be someone who wants or has a house where they showcase their Star Wars collection, each room has a color theme that matches.

NR: If you had one piece of advice for a first-time home buyer, what would it be?
CD: In my experience, the first home is most likely not your forever home. As long as your top 2 or 3 preferences are taken care of, you can change the house to suit your needs. Life changes over time and so will the buyer’s needs within their home.

NR: What is your favorite season in Atlanta?
CD: I love Fall. I was married at the end of October in Atlanta.
