In this installment, we chat with Mhyria Miller, a Realtor with Nest Realty in Louisville, Kentucky.
Nest Realty: Tell us a bit about yourself! Where are you from? What brought you to Louisville?
Mhyria Miller: I was born and raised in the Florida Keys. My husband and I were both professional swimmers after our college careers. After the summer Olympics in 2012, my husband and I moved to Louisville so he could be the swim coach at University of Louisville.
NR: How did you get into real estate?
MM: I have always loved connecting with people and the essence of what makes a house a home.
NR: What was your previous career? How has that prepared you for real estate?
MM: Interior design. It has prepared me because I can navigate the functionality of a house and how it would appeal to clients.
NR: What led you to Nest Realty, as opposed to another brokerage?

NR: What is your favorite part of being an agent?
MM: Making my clients happy and exceeding their expectations.
NR: Do you have a specific area of expertise to offer clients?
MM: With a degree in interior design, I understand the ins and outs of what makes a home functional and consider it an asset in the home buying process.
NR: What makes you different from other agents? What sets you apart?
MM: My elite athletic background has strongly prepared me for the qualities and tasks it takes to achieve a goal.
NR: What are five adjectives that describe you?
MM: Loyal, competitive, humble, sincere, and honest.
NR: Who would be your dream client?
MM: Jimmy Buffett. Because clearly he would want to buy his home(s) in warm tropical locations.
NR: If you had one piece of advice for a first-time home buyer, what would it be?
MM: TRUST the agent you choose to work with. Don’t be afraid to ask questions.
NR: What is your favorite season in Louisville?
MM: Spring.
