Meet the Agent: Caroline Kalpinski

During our “Meet the Agent” series, we sit down with our agents to learn more about them—what makes them tick and why they’re passionate about the real estate industry. For this installment we speak with Caroline Kalpinski, an Associate Broker at Nest Realty Asheville.

Nest Realty: Tell us a bit about yourself! Where are you from? What brought you to Asheville?
Caroline Kalpinski: I’m originally from Anniston, Alabama. After graduating from University of Alabama I moved to Big Sky, Montana, and lived there for 10 years. Met my husband, Craig, and decided to move closer to my family. We moved to the Blue Ridge Mountains and love it here!

NR: How did you get into real estate?
CK: My father sells real estate and I feel it is in my blood. I loved watching him make connections with clients and felt drawn to Real Estate after graduating from UA.

NR: What was your previous career?
CK: Since graduating of Alabama I immediately starting working in a Real Estate office in Montana. I have been in business ever since. And I love it.

NR: What led you to Nest Realty, as opposed to another brokerage?
CK: I heard great things about Nest and was so impressed by the support from day one. The marketing is beautiful.

NR: What is your favorite part of being an agent?
CK: I love making my clients happy.

NR: Do you have a specific area of expertise to offer clients?
CK: I feel I always work in the best interest of my client. My expertise is client service.

NR: What makes you different from other agents? What sets you apart?
CK: Buying and Selling can be stressful. I am here to help. Whether that is packing boxes with my clients or taking home made soup to a sick client (which I have done) I go above and beyond for my clients.

NR: What are five adjectives that describe you?
CK: Strong, Happy, Courageous, Hard Working, and Knowledgeable.

NR: Who would be your dream client?
CK: Someone that respects me.

NR: If you had one piece of advice for a first-time home buyer, what would it be?
CK: Get pre-approved and start driving by locations to find out your favorite areas.

NR: What is your favorite season in Asheville?
CK: Fall! Football Season and changing of the leaves.
