In this installment, we chat with Erin Bruce, a Realtor® at Nest Realty Charlottesville.
Nest Realty: Tell us a bit about yourself! Where are you from? What brought you to Charlottesville?
Erin Bruce: I grew up in Hanover County, attended James Madison University for college, and now reside in beautiful Orange County! After college, I lived in the Historic Fan District of Richmond for a few years and then decided to move to Charlottesville to be closer to the mountains and all the things our area has to offer.
NR: How did you get into real estate?
EB: I studied marketing in college and started working as a marketing coordinator at a real estate brokerage in Richmond after I graduated. Once I had lived in Charlottesville for a few years, I was lucky to start working for a distinguished realtor in the area as his personal assistant.
NR: What was your previous career? How has that prepared you for real estate?
EB: I’ve always enjoyed working with people! I’ve had sales and event coordinator positions with some awesome companies including Klean Kanteen, Starr Hill Brewery, and South Street Brewery. My roles within those companies definitely taught me how much I love helping people!
NR: What led you to Nest Realty, as opposed to another brokerage?
EB: I was very fortunate to start working with a few amazing Nest Realty agents as their marketing and transaction coordinator. Being with Nest Realty for more than three years now, I can say without a doubt, they are the best firm in the area. Their training, organization, and marketing are top notch!
NR: What is your favorite part of being an agent?
EB: Being able to help individuals and families.
NR: Do you have a specific area of expertise to offer clients?
EB: With my background in marketing and transaction coordinating, I can contribute a unique set of skills and will be very efficient and organized in my approach.
NR: What makes you different from other agents? What sets you apart?
EB: I am extremely organized and detail-oriented. My clients will always know exactly what’s going on throughout every step of the process. Communication is so important!
NR: What are five adjectives that describe you?
EB: Reliable, trustworthy, fun-loving, efficient, and down-to-earth.
NR: Who would be your dream client?
EB: I truly enjoy working with all kinds of people. You can learn something new and useful in any situation.
NR: If you had one piece of advice for a first-time home buyer, what would it be?
EB: To relax and enjoy the process of finding your dream home.
NR: What is your favorite season in Charlottesville?
EB: Fall in Charlottesville with the vibrant and ever-changing colors of the leaves. It’s also a great time to slow time and cherish our loved ones.
