During our “Meet the Agent” series, we sit down with our agents to learn more about them, what makes them tick, and why they’re passionate about the real estate industry. In this installment, we chat with Heather Pierce, an agent with Nest Realty in Jackson, Tennessee.
Nest Realty: Tell us a bit about yourself! What brought you to the area?
Heather Pierce: I’m a military veteran, Registered Nurse, and Realtor. I love this little area of West Tennessee. Everything is close by, and if you want to go to Nashville or Memphis for a day trip, you can get there fast.
NR: How did you get into real estate?
HP: I have always wanted to be a Realtor. From watching House Hunters since I was 10, I knew this is what I wanted to be. I have a few friends who are real estate agents, and with their help, I was FINALLY able to get my license.
NR: What was your previous career? How has that prepared you for real estate?
HP: I’m a full time RN with hopes one day to become a full time real estate agent. Working with the public during hard circumstances and learning how to talk with my patients has paved my way into real estate.
NR: What led you to Nest Realty, as opposed to another brokerage?
HP: I have three friends that are a part of Nest Realty. I noticed their social media platforms with Nest. Social media is the best way to get your name out there and to get clients.
NR: What is your favorite part of being an agent?
HP: Being able to show clients homes and see their eyes light up when they walk into the house of their dreams is the exact reason why I became a agent.
NR: Do you have a specific area of expertise to offer clients?
HP: I do not have a area of expertise yet, but I’m very familiar with VA home loans and how everything works with that type of loan.
NR: What makes you different from other agents? What sets you apart?
HP: My genuine desire to educate and help clients find their next home.
NR: What are five adjectives that describe you?
HP: Honest, professional, self-motivated, friendly, and funny.
NR: Who would be your dream client?
HP: Kevin Hart!
NR: If you had one piece of advice for a first-time home buyer, what would it be?
HP: Always ask questions, ask for advice; we want to guide you through each step of the process.
NR: What is your favorite season in Jackson?
HP: Spring and fall are my favorite. I do not like hot weather or anything below 35 degrees.
