In this installment, we chat with Jamie Christensen, a Realtor® with Nest Realty in Asheville, North Carolina.
Nest Realty: Tell us a bit about yourself! Where are you from? What brought you to Asheville?
Jamie Christensen: I was living in Charlotte before relocating to Asheville. I moved to Asheville to open my previous business and to create a life in the mountains for my family.
NR: What was your previous career?
JC: I owned fitness franchise, MADabolic. I believe that 7 year career prepared me for real estate in several ways. The relationship building and customer first business model is exactly how real estate should be. I learned invaluable traits to work with various different clients to deliver them the results they want. The business experience prepared me to run my individual real estate career not just as an agent but as a business.
NR: What is your favorite part of being an agent?
JC: My favorite part is engaging with different people everyday. I have met some amazing and unique individuals and families along the way. To be a part of their real estate experience is priceless. I’ve seen people travel across country, make changes, and buy a house they never thought possible. That part of the job will never get old.
NR: What makes you different from other agents? What sets you apart?
JC: My speciality is solving problems and finding opportunities that come along the way. I will tackle everything on behalf of my clients to get everyone to the closing table.
NR: What are five adjectives that describe you?
JC: Loyal, strong, empathetic, kind, and gritty.
NR: Who would be your dream client?
JC: I would love to schedule home tours for Charles Barkley!
NR: What is your favorite season in Asheville?
JC: I love spring in Asheville. The temperate and color change completely change the entire scene.
