In this installment, we chat with agent Lexi Pate, a Broker with Nest Realty in Carolina Beach, North Carolina.
Nest Realty: Tell us a bit about yourself! What brought you to Carolina Beach?
Lexi Pate: I was seeking a better life with a more laid-back lifestyle.
NR: How did you get into real estate?
LP: I had a ton of people in my life who were active Realtors—they brainwashed me into this!
NR: What was your previous career? How has that prepared you for real estate?
LP: Bartender/waitress and full time mom. Motherhood prepares you for everything.
NR: What led you to Nest Realty, as opposed to another brokerage?
LP: Its progressive, client-based philosophy and boutique style.
NR: What is your favorite part of being an agent?
LP: It may sound hokey, but it’s helping people achieve their dreams.
NR: Do you have a specific area of expertise to offer clients?
LP: I am detail oriented, patient, and truly have their best interests at heart.
NR: What makes you different from other agents? What sets you apart?
LP: I think I put people at ease. This can be a very stressful process, but I try to keep the drama as far away from my clients as possible.
NR: What are five adjectives that describe you?
LP: Dedicated, honest, light hearted, fun, and short.
NR: Who would be your dream client?
LP: Dave Grohl—he’s the greatest!
NR: If you had one piece of advice for a first-time home buyer, what would it be?
LP: Be open minded.
NR: What is your favorite season in Carolina Beach?
LP: Summertime!
NR: Why buy in the Wilmington area?
LP: We have it all! Historic downtown, gorgeous beaches. Excellent restaurants. Theaters and a thriving music scene—as well as some of the friendliest people you will ever meet!
