In this installment, we chat with Mary Parrott, a Realtor® at Nest Realty Lake Norman.
Nest Realty: Tell us a bit about yourself! Where are you from? What brought you to Lake Norman?
Mary Parrott: I’m from Florida but I’ve lived in the Cornelius, Huntersville area for the past 24 years.
NR: How did you get into real estate?
MP: I experienced a little bit of real estate work in the early 1990s and enjoyed it then, when I knew it was time for a career change it was only natural.
NR: What was your previous career? How has that prepared you for real estate?
MP: I am a massage therapist, and I think my caring nature and my ability to calm and relax people will come in handy.
NR: What led you to Nest Realty, as opposed to another brokerage?
MP: Managing Broker, Amy Fraser, has been a long time friend and client, and I wouldn’t want to start my real estate career under anyone else.
NR: What is your favorite part of being an agent?
MP: Helping people find their home. Whether it be a first home, a transitional, or their last. It’s their home!
NR: Do you have a specific area of expertise to offer clients?
MP: Well, I’ve lived here for a long time and I have two children who have attended school from pre-school through high school. Lots of experience.
NR: What makes you different from other agents? What sets you apart?
MP: I am a people person, always working to make people comfortable and happy in all situations.
NR: What are five adjectives that describe you?
MP: Compassionate, considerate, reliable, amiable, and happy.
NR: Who would be your dream client?
MP: My dream client would have to be a person who has never been able to own a home and now is fortunate enough to be able to purchase one of their choice!!
NR: If you had one piece of advice for a first-time home buyer, what would it be?
MP: Ask questions!! Lots of questions!!
NR: What is your favorite season in Lake Norman?
MP: Summertime. Summertime anywhere…
