In this installment, we chat with Paige Scully, a Real Estate Broker at Nest Realty Asheville.
Nest Realty: Tell us a bit about yourself! Where are you from? What brought you to Asheville?
Paige Scully: I moved around a ton growing up and landed in Asheville 17 years ago. I had never lived anywhere like it, and have loved building my life here.
NR: How did you get into real estate?
PS: My husband and I have been restaurant owners for 12 years, and in my spare time I would renovate and refurbish our home and others. That creative outlet led me to get my license and share what inspires me. You have to be able to see potential in our market and that is what drives me.
NR: What was your previous career? How has that prepared you for real estate?
PS: Having worked in restaurant/hospitality/HR since college, I developed an ability to find common ground with just about anyone. It’s so important in building relationships with clients, to really listen to them and be empathetic. As a business owner, my experience and expertise lies in management, finance, day-to-day operations, marketing, and human resources. But most importantly it created a drive and a work ethic with success as the only option.
NR: What led you to Nest Realty, as opposed to another brokerage?
PS: I have always been attracted to Nest Realty’s branding. After exploring and researching the company, I am excited to be a part of a well organized, innovative team.
NR: What is your favorite part of being an agent?
PS: I love being able to facilitate the happiness and/or relief in the process of buying and selling.
NR: What are five adjectives that describe you?
PS: Tenacious, honest, empathetic, motivated, and knowledgeable.
NR: If you had one piece of advice for a first-time home buyer, what would it be?
PS: Be patient!
NR: What is your favorite season in Asheville?
PS: I am a Spring and Autumn girl. The crisp air and colors are so inspiring. I like to travel to warmth at the beach or snow in Colorado!
