Meet the Agent: Rayne Stenger

We’re proud of the team of agents we’ve assembled here at Nest Realty. We think they’re pretty awesome, and we think you will, too. During Nest Stories’ “Meet the Agent” series, we sit down with our agents and brokers to learn more about them, what makes them tick, and why they’re passionate about the real estate industry.

In this installment, we chat with Rayne Stenger, an agent in Virginia’s New River Valley.

Nest Realty: Tell us a bit about yourself! What brought you to the area? How long have you lived here?
Rayne Stenger: I came to Virginia Tech in 1990. I have been here ever since except for two years after college. I plan to stay, it is definitely home!

NR: How did you get into real estate? How long have you been practicing?
RS: Anne Collins Albimino was my Realtor in 2013-2014 and throughout the selling and buying process, she and I discussed real estate and she convinced me I could actually do it. She has been a great mentor and business partner ever since!

NR: What was your previous career? How has that prepared you for real estate?
RS: Prior to real estate I have had a lot of admin experience which taught be how to be organized and communicate well. Just prior to getting my real estate license I had been working at a local medical school in a Simulation Center and in the Medical Education Department which required learning to be very resourceful and efficient at problem solving. All that prior work experience definitely helped prepare me for Real Estate.

NR: What led you to Nest Realty, as opposed to another brokerage?
RS: Anne Collins and I were looking for something different. Nest is small and seems to really care about quality agents, marketing, customer care, and an overall first-rate experience.

NR: What’s your favorite part of being an agent?
RS: Getting to know my clients and going through this journey with them. My goal is to make it as easy and successful as possible.

NR: Do you have a specific area of expertise to offer clients?
RS: I am always learning something new with each transaction, but I do really love to work with first time homebuyers.

NR: What are five adjectives to describe you?
RS: Resourceful, determined, thoughtful, attentive, and versatile.

NR: Who would be your dream client?
RS: Ted Lasso – He would be excited, full of positivity, and great comic relief. Plus, he might bring me cookies.

NR: If you had one piece of advice for a first-time home buyer, what would it be?
RS: Get your “ducks in a row” in preparation to purchase a home, and I will help you.

NR: What’s your favorite season? Why?
RS: Summer because it means Beach Time!

Spread the love
