In this installment, we chat with Tami Medina-Bache, a Realtor® at Nest Realty Fredericksburg.
Nest Realty: Tell us a bit about yourself! Where are you from? What brought you to Fredericksburg?
Tami Medina-Bache: I moved here as a I teenager with my family. After college and the military I came back to raise my kids here.
NR: How did you get into real estate?
TM-B: I had bought several homes and had a bad experience with an agent. I knew it didn’t have to be that way and knew I could do better.
NR: What was your previous career? How has that prepared you for real estate?
TM-B: United States Air Force….but I can’t say what I did because then I would have to kill you. Kidding. Just like when you deploy to a new location you never know what it will be like. Real estate is the same. No two days are alike. I also understand what it’s like first hand to move to a new town and not know anything or anyone.
NR: What led you to Nest Realty, as opposed to another brokerage?
TM-B: It’s a team! Everyone helps each other and we aren’t pitted against each other.
NR: What is your favorite part of being an agent?
TM-B: I like solving problems. I love calling a client and having a solution when they thought all was lost.
NR: Do you have a specific area of expertise to offer clients?
TM-B: I like working with military members and their families. I’m fluent in acronyms.
NR: What makes you different from other agents? What sets you apart?
TM-B: I’m both a veteran and I’ve been a military spouse. I think that gives me a unique perceptive to the home buying process. I understand it’s emotional as well the need to get things done efficiently.
NR: What are five adjectives that describe you?
TM-B: Funny, smart, loud, stubborn, and loyal.
NR: Who would be your dream client?
TM-B: Frank Gallagher.
NR: If you had one piece of advice for a first-time home buyer, what would it be?
TM-B: Get your priorities in check. You can’t change the location. You can paint.
NR: What is your favorite season in Fredericksburg?
TM-B: Fall
