In this installment, we chat with Will Wright, a Realtor at Nest Realty Shenandoah Valley.
Nest Realty: Tell us a bit about yourself! Where are you from? What brought you to Shenandoah Valley?
Will Wright: I’m from Staunton, VA, and have lived in the area for most of my life. I love the local, small town feel and enjoy supporting all the local businesses in my community.
NR: How did you get into real estate?
WW: Through my renovation business. Over the years, clients have contacted me in search of upcoming houses for sale. One thing led to the next and here I am!
NR: What was your previous career? How has that prepared you for real estate?
WW: I have been in the restoration/renovation business for over a decade and have found that there’s more than one common thread between the two industries. Attention to detail, client happiness, communication, managing deadlines…just to name a few!
NR: What led you to Nest Realty, as opposed to another brokerage?
WW: Fellow Nester, Beverly Stermer! I first met her when she represented the buyer of one of my bigger renovation projects in Downtown Staunton. I’ve had the pleasure of working with her on small projects over the years and we’ve become great friends.
NR: What is your favorite part of being an agent?
WW: The feeling that comes with helping someone find their HOME. It’s an honor to be a part of that experience.
NR: Do you have a specific area of expertise to offer clients?
WW: Absolutely. Whether it’s new construction or historical, I understand the anatomy of a house.
NR: What makes you different from other agents? What sets you apart?
WW: Being a Staunton native, and having spent the majority of my adult years working in the area, I pretty much know everybody and their mama, and their house too.
NR: What are five adjectives that describe you?
WW: Loyal, creative, respectful, committed, and a problem solver.
NR: Who would be your dream client?
WW: Eva Mendez.
NR: If you had one piece of advice for a first-time home buyer, what would it be?
WW: Be careful not to buy beyond your means. Being qualified up to a certain amount vs. where you’ll be most comfortable can often be a different number.
NR: What is your favorite season in the Shenandoah Valley?
WW: Spring. Everything is coming alive!
