Owner of Nest Realty Asheville Nominated for Prestigious Award from the Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce
The Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce recently announced the nominees for their annual WomanUp Celebration. The WomanUp program focuses on supporting and inspiring the business women of Asheville.
The Chamber has nominated women in three categories: Woman Nonprofit Leader of the Year, presented by TD Bank; Woman Executive of the Year, presented by Mission Health; and Woman Entrepreneur, Best in Business Award, presented by Webb Investments, Inc.
Our very own Angie Cullen, Real Estate Broker and Nest Realty Asheville Owner, has been nominated for the Woman Executive of the Year Award. According to the Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce, “This award recognizes a woman who exhibits leadership in her organization, profession and community…All of these women deserve recognition for their hard work, dedication to advancing women in business and for their contributions to our community.”
Since purchasing the Nest Realty Asheville brokerage in 2016, Cullen has grown the brokerage from 4 Real Estate Brokers to 26. Cullen has led her team to a stunning increase in total sales volume. The total sales volume for the office in 2016 was $14,193,325. The year-to-date sales volume for the office in 2017 has already reached $66,483,254, more than quadruple the previous year. In 2016, the office sold 41 homes, 33 of which were Cullen’s sales. In contrast, the office has sold 225 homes thus far in 2017. Cullen has also expanded the regional reach of the brokerage to cover three counties in Western North Carolina: Buncombe, Transylvania, and Henderson counties.
In 2017, Cullen launched Nest Property Management Asheville, providing unparalleled service to both renters and property owners, offering full-service management of vacation, short term, and long term rentals. This foray into property management brings a fresh perspective with a personalized approach to the Asheville market.

The WomanUp celebration takes place on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at the Crowne Plaza Resort’s Expo Center. Winners from the three categories will be announced.
