Blissful summer itineraries to spark your travel bug
We’ve created an ideal one-day schedule for five of our favorite towns (Asheville, Charlottesville, Fredericksburg, New River Valley, Wilmington). This week we plan out a perfect day in Charlottesville…the land of VINES & VISTAS.
Your Midday Itinerary!
LUNCH + PACK A PICNIC AT FEAST!
AFTERNOON + KING FAMILY VINEYARDS
You’ve enjoyed your morning adventures…now it’s onto midday fun! Next it’s on to Feast! on West Main Street to pack an afternoon picnic. The specialty grocery carries a well-curated mix of fine cheeses, meats, artisan breads, and lovely spreads. Choose your favorites from the olive bar and a bit of dark chocolate to complete a picnic fit for a king.
Picnic basket in tow, head to King Family Vineyards in Crozet. Gorgeous vines stretch out across the landscape with the mountains of Shenandoah National Park in the distance. For eight dollars, you’ll taste six different wines that rotate seasonally. Decide on your favorite, purchase a bottle, and wander outside to find a place to picnic on sprawling green grass.
In the next post, we’ll share our evening plans for your perfect day in Charlottesville! Then Stay tuned as we head to Asheville, Fredericksburg, New River Valley, and Wilmington.
